Repairing, rebuilding and enhancing

Any intervention on static electric machines of the above-mentioned categories that implies redesigning for possible variations of the machine's parameters and specifications (voltages, setting range, connections, cooling systems) and for possible power increases.

Service Activity

• On-the-spot checks of the operating condition, insulation, state of the oil (by measuring the contents of humidity and dissolved gasses, dielectric rigidity and ageing level).
• On-the-spot degassing and drying of the oil and active parts.
• On-the-spot checks in order to determine and locate faults and malfunctions.
• Installation, functional checks and maintenance of safety and control devices: thermometers, thermostats, Bucholz relay, levels, valves, equipment for the continuous measurement of dissolved gasses (Hydran), fire-fighting plants, control panels.
• Replacement of feedthrough insulators. Replacement, installation and enhancement of the cooling elements.
• Interventions for reducing the noise level by installing new cooling elements or modifying the existing ones and by mounting acoustic barriers.
• Should the local conditions allow it, on-the-spot repair /rebuilding interventions, by carrying out the main final tests, including the most important insulation tests (switching pulses, overvoltage with partial discharge level measurement).
