Water Power

Savigliano is able to operate on electromechanical systems and components for hydroelectric generating stations. In particular, it is able to supply the following 'turnkey' products:

Savigliano designs, supplies and installs new hydroelectric units complete with interception devices, turbines, overdrives, aerogenerator, control panels, transformers, with a 'Turnkey service'.

It is also able to carry out the design and construction of spare hydraulic rotors for existing units, by studying and executing the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art hydraulic profiles in this field, ensuring in this way high and improved hydraulic performances.

Wind Energy

The production of electric energy from renewable sources of energy is becoming more and more important every day for the ecological and energy advantages it offers, in such a way that its diffusion is spurred by the directives of the European Community and by domestic laws in our Country.
Such programs include the exploitation of wind energy for whose realisation the ministerial and regional state authorities have offered contributions and incentives for fostering its implementation.
These favourable conditions have given a boost to research and licence applications for the installation of plants in all those areas in which the orographic situation is subject to great atmosphere movements and can create air currents for the generation of wind energy.
In 1998, Savigliano entered into this field by stipulating with a customer in the Foggia region - an area facilitated by the excellent conditions of inclination and orientation of its valleys -, a 'turnkey' contract for the realisation of two wind fields of 6+12 aerogenerators, respectively, with a nominal power of 600kW each, for a yearly production of 25,000,000kW. The project was implemented by using materials of companies with the highest level of expertise in the relevant fields of competence.
Thanks to this experience, Savigliano surveyed and assessed the possibility of purchasing installation rights of wind fields in areas characterised by a good windiness, by renting areas from the public property or by purchasing small plots of land from private individuals in order to start, in case of a real intention to proceed, the negotiations aiming to obtain the availability of the sites and start the bureaucratic procedure in order to obtain the required licences, authorisations and relevant state contributions.
